About We Rock the Spectrum Alpharetta

Hi! I’m Barbara — a speech-language pathologist, mom of two, and the owner of We Rock the Spectrum Alpharetta.

After nearly 30 years of working with children, teens, and young adults of all abilities, I knew I wanted to create something special for my community — a place where every child feels safe, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. That passion started in my own childhood, growing up with a brother who had unique needs and taught me the true power of inclusion.

You’ll often see me at the gym with my two kids, Max and Sophia, along with my sister Mary and her son, Nico. Mary helps run day-to-day operations and brings so much heart to everything we do — she’s a big part of what makes this space feel like home.

We opened We Rock the Spectrum Alpharetta as a family-friendly, sensory-safe place where kids can play, connect, and grow — whether they need a little extra support or just a place where they can be themselves. From open play and enrichment classes to birthday parties and teen hangouts, everything we offer is built around joy, community, and real connection.
